Solution Process
Beach Software will always try and stick to the following process with all the solutions we develop. That way, everyone knows what is going on at any point in the process. This whole process can be completed within a week if required!
Quick Brief
Do you have a rough idea of what you want, but just want to gather rough costs? If so, then fill out the simple Quick Brief form and we'll get in touch with you.
Initial Quotation
So, we've given you a rough figure, is that acceptable? If so let us know and we'll then gather more information and give you a firm cost. We can do work at an hourly rate or at a daily rate for you.
Detailed Specification & Quotation
We'll provide you with a document detailing what we will do for you and the exact cost. This information is written down for you so that you can read it at your own leisure and completely understand it. The cost is also fixed so long as the specification is fixed. This service is completely free, the next stage is when the costs start.
Development Initiation
OK, you've signed off the work and we'll start work on the solution for you. Depending on your flexible payment terms, a payment may be due at this stage.
Proof of Concept
After a few days or weeks, depending on the project size, we'll come back to you and show you where we are with your solution. This step is not always necessary for small projects.
Development Continuation
If you're happy with the direction in which we are going then we will continue. If not then we'll make the necessary corrections and keep checking with you until you are happy. Depending on your flexible payment terms, a payment may be due at this stage.
Initial Testing
The solution is nearing completion, we will test the solution to make sure it meets the specification completely and works as expected. We will also ask you to check the solution to make sure you are happy with it.
Validation & Optimisation
At this stage, if the solution is a website, it will be passed though industry standard testing systems to ensure it passes. This is essential so that your website can reach it's full audience, irrespective of their personal abilities or technical platform. Your website will also be optimised for search engines as people will probably find your website in a search engine unless they know your website address first. No one can guarantee you a top position in a search engine, but we will use industry standards and our experience to ensure you have the best possibility of getting to the top.
Final Testing
The solution is given one final test and then it is signed off. Depending on your flexible payment terms, a payment may be due at this stage.
Solution Live
The solution is installed for you on the necessary systems and you are shown how to use any functionality necessary. Depending on your flexible payment terms, a payment may be due at this stage.
